That’s why we are proud to offer the Open Door Scholarship. This scholarship was created to promote education and highlight students who experienced a life-changing choice or opportunity in their life and realized they were capable of much more than they thought was possible. Lauren is a Pre-Med major at Spelman University and is deeply involved in community service. As the Community Involvement Chair for Spelman Protégé, she led initiatives promoting social responsibility. Lauren is part of the Health Careers Program and Opportunity Program Pipeline Partnership, gaining valuable health field insights and mentorship. She contributes to Spelbound, the Spelman Ladybugs, and Operation Smile, addressing various community needs.
She served as a Peer Assistant Leader during New Student Orientation, guiding incoming students. Lauren actively addresses food insecurity by volunteering at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. As an Ambassador for the National Society of High School Scholars, she supports high-achieving students. Impressively, Lauren founded “Lauren’s Community Service Academy” to inspire the next generation of servant leaders through community service and volunteer opportunities.

This scholarship not only alleviates the financial strains of my education but also enables me to dedicate myself fully to my coursework. Ricky is graduating from Klein Cain High School in Spring, TX in the top 1.1% of his graduating class. During his time in high school, he played the violin, competed on the Swim and Dive and Speech and Debate teams, remained an active member of multiple honor societies, held various jobs, and volunteered in the Kid’s Ministry at his church. In the future, he intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree in child development and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with the aspirations of becoming a pediatric therapist.
Reaction Statement: “I am beyond grateful for the funds provided in this scholarship. Not only does the scholarship take stress associated with paying for college off of my shoulders, but it also allows me to have more time to give back to my community. Being awarded this scholarship means that my hard work, grit, and dedication have paid off in an immense way.”

Tristan G.is a senior at Fulshear High School in Fulshear, Texas. She is ranked 2nd in her class and is graduating with a 4.0 GPA. In the next few years, she hopes to pursue a degree in economics while playing collegiate golf. After graduating, she plans to attend law school and eventually enter the workforce to open a firm.
Reaction Statement: “I am extremely grateful to those at Chad Jones Law who have selected me for this award. This scholarship will allow me to continue my education at a higher level. I am excited and proud that my accomplishments throughout high school have distinguished me in this way.”
